We are all in this society that encourages laziness and consumption, instead of exploration and minimalism. Obviously these are complete opposites and they don’t go well together. And no, taking a vacation and blowing a bunch of money on tourist attractions doesn’t count as exploration.
Exploration is finding happiness within yourself and traveling where you want to. It could be hiking up a mountain over a series of days. It could be just traveling around the world and living like locals when you go there, not like kings and queens for a week until you go back to the normal. Many people don’t realize it but traveling can actually be cheap. Look up Colin Wright on the internet and you’ll see for yourself. If you live like the local and make acquaintances with people you meet along the way it can actually be cheaper than living in the city. I am kind of getting off topic now.
Everyone always says someday. Someday this, someday that, we feel like we will get everything accomplished later. But pretty soon later will be never. It is sad to think about but eventually you will run out of time, and you never know when that someday could come. This is why it is important to be happy and live in the moment. Find time to do things you’ve always wanted to do. It will make you happier and more content with your life.
When you accomplish something on your bucket list, it makes you happy. When you get out of your comfort zone you learn so much faster. We are all stuck in this virtual reality of emotions, you never know if happiness if short term or if you have found something you truly love and want to pursue. This is important for teens in high school looking to go into a career. If they look at the money aspect more than anything else they will most likely spend there lives doing something they dislike or even hate. If you find something you love you should pursue it because it is what will make you happy. For some people that is playing music and for others it could be sports. For me I know it is sports, especially one in particular, golf. Golf makes me happy because I am out in nature competing against myself and trying to manage all the challenges that come to me.
Everyone has something that makes them content, but sadly for many people it is not their jobs. The good news is, even if you don’t like your job you still have time to do the things you love. Many people state that they have no time, that’s what I thought for a while. But everyone can find time somewhere in their day to accomplish that tasks they said were for someday. You could wake up half an hour early in the morning to do productive things instead of watching T.V. You’d be amazed at how much time T.V consumes in many peoples lives.
Don’t wait for someday to come, because I’m afraid it will never come. Make someday today, instead of waiting around to have a more fulfilled life.
SOMEDAY IS TODAY!!!!
